Session 13: Perturbing the Early Life Microbiome in a Model of Type 1 Diabetes

I will discuss the microbiome, what it is and what it does, and then discuss why the microbiome is of interest in relation to T1D. I will discuss our model of T1D in mice and how the findings might be relevant to both human illness, and  how it may provide new leads to prevention and treatment.
