Session 5: The Fundamentals of Ethics for Conducting Scientific Research

This session will focus on discussing the ethics of scientific research in understanding the causes of diabetes and obesity. It will cover the precautions that scientists take to insure that the appropriate choices are made to choose the right organism to use for research work. It will cover the use of appropriate statistical methods that are necessary to insure the research work is conducted in a manner that will be useful for the prevention and treatment of disease and prolonging the health of humans.
